Dreams Become Reality

When we took the first steps together we had no idea how far we could go. With each step our hearts opened a little bit more and we reached for higher and higher goals.

Dreams Become Reality

When we took the first steps together we had no idea how far we could go. With each step our hearts opened a little bit more and we reached for higher and higher goals.

I Will Association is a registered non-profit charitable organization that was founded in September 2002. We are a small group of inspired and caring individuals who believe in a child’s ability to prosper and succeed, despite numerous obstacles and disadvantages. Even the smallest effort of support can significantly transform a child’s future. We do what we can to help children achieve their potential.

We have many success stories and happy memories to share. Our projects foster the ethical, social and intellectual development of disadvantaged children through education and creative programs. The unique aspect of I Will is that we have no employees and absorb all administrative expenses of the charity. This means 100% of your donation is used for the direct benefit of a specific child or project.

Our Process

Funds raised in Canada are used to help specific children or projects. Vladimir Kotov, Director of Ukrainian Operations, (aka The Dream Implementer) oversees the strict control and distribution of funds. We work with orphanages and children's homes for kids of all ages.

Why Ukraine?

Economic conditions in Ukraine are very difficult and the country is extremely poor by Canadian standards. The average standard of living has decreased by 80% over the last two decades.

Children are the innocent victims and need our help. They end up in the orphanages for different reasons:

  • Poverty and sickness result in the inability to provide adequate nutrition and healthcare

  • Due to social and economic situations a  single living parent or grandparent is forced to abandon their children, as they are unable to care for them

  • Parental suicide, death, incarceration, alcohol and drug abuse

Without our help the children are susceptible to:

  • Life on the streets

  • Inability to find work

  • Suicide after leaving the orphanage

  • Crime and prostitution

We realize how fortunate we are in Canada and want to assist Ukrainian children with day-to-day necessities and to equip them with the needed skills to take advantage of opportunities in the future.

The Results

To date, we have raised over $95,000.
A sample of what we have accomplished:

  1. Computer Learning Centres in 7 different orphanages. This includes equipment, training and maintenance

  2. Children's playground and gym equipment.

  3. Rehabilitation programs, medical devices for children suffering from hearing loss, sponsoring spinal cord and eye operations, helping kids fighting cancer

  4. Repairs for Orphanage's toilets, showers, water heaters and orphanage cafeterias.

  5. Hundreds of school desks, chairs and beds donated

  6. More than 350 winter coats and boots for orphanages, including for kids with varying degrees of blindness

  7. Endless donations of books, school supplies, birthday and Christmas gifts, including hand made dolls and warm clothing from Canada
