Cooking for the Cause – A Lesson That Changed Lives
A decadent cooking class was taught by Chris Hockley, a Toronto-area chef who generously gave his time to support I WILL. The event raised $1,000 to help Irina Lubitskaya, a 12-year-old girl in the orphanage who needed a hearing aid, and also to fund new computer classes for the children.
Thanks to this heartfelt initiative, Irina was able to remain at the orphanage instead of transferring to a special school, and many other children gained access to valuable computer education — a gift of opportunity that continues to make an impact.
