🏠 A New Beginning – Opening of the Nikolaev Children’s Home

On November 20, 2014 — International Children’s Day, we proudly celebrated the official opening of the newly renovated Nikolaev Children’s Home. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of many volunteers, ten orphaned children can now move into modern, comfortable living spaces — just in time for winter.

This achievement marks the completion of an important phase in a project that took nearly a year of tireless effort. The new centre will eventually become a home for 40 children, offering them not only shelter but also warmth, care, and the feeling of belonging.

The renovation was driven by compassion and teamwork, with volunteers working relentlessly to finish before the harsh cold arrived.

This morning, I had the privilege of joining the opening ceremony via Skype from Canada — a deeply emotional moment as I conveyed heartfelt thanks from Ukraine to all our Canadian friends whose generosity made this dream possible.
