Giving Hope to Olesia – Veselinovo, Ukraine

Olesia and her brother Vadik grew up in deep poverty, without education or proper care. They never knew their father, and their mother, struggling with alcoholism, was unable to look after them. While Vadik’s health remained stable, Olesia faced a serious spinal condition that required urgent surgery.

Her foster mother, determined to help, borrowed money far beyond her means to pay for the operation in Kharkov. After the surgery, there were no funds left for follow-up appointments or vital medications. That’s when I WILL stepped in β€” donating funds to cover the remaining hospital debt and to provide a custom-made spinal corset for Olesia’s recovery.

I WILL also plans to continue supporting Olesia’s follow-up care and medication to ensure her full rehabilitation.

A heartfelt thank-you goes to Gary Pottruff and Marie Verschuuren, whose ongoing generosity has made many I WILL projects β€” including this one β€” possible.
