October 23, 2023 - I Will CandleLight Tradition is Born

October 23, 2023 - I Will CandleLight Tradition is Born

On October 23, 2023, we celebrate my father Vladimir on his Birthday.

While it's our first Birthday without him, his legacy shines brightly.

The I Will organisation was conceived in October 2002 at the kitchen table in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, with my mom and dad. For Dad, I Will wasn't just a passion; it was a relentless volunteering commitment, on top of his full-time job. And Mom always stood by our side, shared her enthusiasm, encouragement and pride.

My dad lived a life guided by kindness, patience, optimism, and the power of dreaming. But what set him apart was not just his dreams but his unwavering dedication to turning those dreams into actions and his optimism. Optimism/Hope Story: In the winter of 2022, we found ourselves waiting for hours at the border, on a long, cold and rainy night, in the despate crowd. We left everything behind and the future was uncertain. Dad was fighting illness. And I will never forget this moment:  Worrying for my dad, I looked at him, and he looked at me, and he winked at me with a twinkle in his eye, and softly said: 'This is romantic.'  It is a remarkable ability to find hope and dream even in the most challenging times.

My dads favourite words are - “Не останавливайся на достигнутом и не зазнавайся”!   Knowing my dad's philosophy of life, this can be translated as “Embrace the present, unleash the future and stay humble”.

As part of the celebration, together we lit the I Will Candle.

We are excited to announce the 'I Will Candlelight Fund.'

This fund will ensure that the light of Knowledge, Hope, and Will continue to shine bright in the years to come. Donations to the I Will Candlelight Fund will support our ongoing educational initiatives.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart

Tatiana

Honoring Vladimir's Legacy: IWill Organization Expands Philanthropic Efforts in Ukraine

Honoring Vladimir's Legacy: IWill Organization Expands Philanthropic Efforts in Ukraine

In the midst of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, a glimmer of hope shines through the tireless efforts of the I Will organization. Even in the face of adversity and the loss of their beloved founder, Vladimir, the organization remains dedicated to making a difference in the lives of underprivileged children. In June, the IWill team celebrated a significant milestone by modernizing their very first computer class in Yuzhnoukrainsk, Ukraine. This achievement not only revitalizes the memory of Vladimir's kindness and dedication but also serves as a testament to the enduring impact he had on countless children and their families.

Remembering Vladimir's Impact

Vladimir, fondly known as the chief of happiness, dedicated 20 years of his life to the cause of helping underprivileged children. His compassionate spirit, unwavering determination, and visionary leadership inspired countless volunteers and donors to join him in this noble mission. Vladimir's legacy is one of selflessness, as he saw the need within his community and took decisive action to implement programs that truly transformed lives.

Throughout his tenure, Vladimir spearheaded initiatives that provided education, support, and hope to children who needed it most. From creating computer classes to establishing mentorship programs, he paved the way for the betterment of society by giving children the tools and opportunities to succeed. The impact of his work resonates deeply, and his memory lives on through the IWill organization.

The Modernization of IWill's First Computer Class

The recent modernization of the IWill organization's very first computer class in Yuzhnoukrainsk represents a milestone in our journey. This computer class has been a symbol of hope and progress for many years, providing children with access to technology and fostering their digital literacy skills. The upgrade ensures that the class remains up to date with the latest technology, creating an even more enriching learning environment for the students.

The initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of volunteers and donors who share Vladimir's vision and understand the transformative power of education. Their support demonstrates the continued dedication and commitment of the IWill organization to improving the lives of underprivileged children, even in the face of challenging circumstances.

A Heartfelt Thank You

On behalf of Vladimir and the entire IWill organization, we extend our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers and donors who have contributed to this remarkable achievement. It is through your selflessness and generosity that miracles are made possible. The impact of your support goes far beyond the computer class, reaching the lives of countless children and their families. Your kindness and commitment have allowed Vladimir's legacy to live on, reminding us all of the importance of compassion, empathy, and community.

The first event after the start of the war in Ukraine marked a bittersweet moment for the IWill organization. While mourning the loss of their esteemed founder, Vladimir, we continued our mission of uplifting underprivileged children. The modernization of the very first computer class in Yuzhnoukrainsk stands as a testament to Vladimir's enduring impact and the unwavering commitment of the organization he created.

This achievement would not have been possible without the tireless dedication of volunteers and the unwavering support of donors.

Moving forward, the IWill organization remains steadfast in its mission to transform lives and provide opportunities to the underprivileged youth of Ukraine. As they forge ahead, Vladimir's legacy will serve as a constant reminder of the profound impact of one person, Vladimir.
